What Is A Feeding Elevator?
While a feeding elevator is often a component of a machine, it’s also a stand-alone piece of equipment. A feed elevator lifts and transports shisha tobacco between parts of a processing line using a mechanical conveyor system. For example, it may transport tobacco leaves from storage bins up into a cutting machine, or shredded tobacco from a container to a mixing machine.
The elevator typically consists of a bucket or belt system, made from food-grade materials. This helps to efficiently move the product while preventing contamination or damage to the delicate tobacco leaves.

Types Of Feeding Elevators
Bucket System
Our bucket-style feeding elevators feature small containers, or buckets, attached to a belt or chain. As the belt moves, the buckets scoop the tobacco and lift it vertically or at a pitched angle.
The buckets are made from food-grade materials, like stainless steel or plastic. This is to avoid chemical reactions with the tobacco while ensuring maximum hygiene
Belt System
Our belt-style feeding elevators feature a continuous inclined belt system. The belt is made from food-grade rubber which gently lifts the tobacco without crushing it.
Our belt elevators can run at higher speeds and, generally speaking, require less maintenance than a bucket system as washdowns are easier and there are fewer moving parts.
